A Quick Guide to Enphase Support for SunPower Customers

In 2018, Enphase began supplying microinverters for SunPower panels. These small devices are integrated directly into SunPower panels—known as “AC Panels powered by Enphase”—converting DC power to AC power at the panel level.

While Enphase has provided the microinverter technology, it hasn’t been a direct service provider for SunPower or its customers, meaning maintenance and service were not part of Enphase’s original agreement.

Monitoring Your SunPower System: App Options

• Third-Party Apps: You can use other apps to monitor total energy production, but they only show overall output. They don’t offer detailed, panel-level data or advanced troubleshooting.

• Enphase App: If your SunPower system has an array map (a detailed diagram of your panels, inverters, and system components), the Enphase App can provide panel-level monitoring. This deeper insight helps with remote troubleshooting and can alert you to performance issues more quickly.

Using the Enphase App with SunPower

‍SunPower systems are typically monitored through a proprietary platform and the mySunPower app.

However, any SunPower system—whether powered by Enphase or not—can be modified to communicate with the Enphase Monitoring Platform.

Is the Enphase Monitoring Kit Compatible with My System?

• Compatible: SunPower systems that use Enphase IQ Microinverters, as well as SunPower storage systems with Enphase IQ Batteries.
• Not Compatible: SunPower storage systems that use third-party batteries.
